Hello, I have a Swann nvr-7300 using SRNHD 815 cameras which Swann quit supporting its app some time ago. I reached out to Swann and they suggested using the Reolink app which worked for several months without issues until about 2-3 months ago and I was no longer able to view the cameras online.

So I read online that I could download the Reolink software on a usb and install it on the Swann nvr. Which I did and now it has the Reolink software on it but it will not discover the 815 cameras. It says password invalid.

I now can see the nvr on the Reolink app but no camera footage. Has anyone had any success with this approach?

Or is there away to reinstall the Swann software so I can at least use it as a stand alone unit again?

I have two Swann 8ch nvr systems and don't want to spend the money on a new one if I can get this working again. Thanks

At any point when in the Reolink s/w on the NVR did you go in and install the same password that is used in each of the Swann cameras?

Yes, but from what I understand the Swann cameras have more of an internal password. I have tried some generic passwords such as admin and 123456 but all it does is lock up the program and i have to reboot the system.

Basically in the past when I had an issue with a camera or adding a new one I would have to do a factory restart then the new camera would come online afterward. Trust me this is an annoying proprietary system.
