    Without something to monitor on my phone, how would I know if it got triggered or not? That is how I get motion alerts from my reolink cameras. In any case, I disabled it before but I just couldn't tell if it was working.

    Ok. But without MD enabled Synology SS (Surveillance Station) doesn't send any notifications and they aren't marked on the SS timeline so I've no idea if it's working or not. That is the only way I know if it's working or not.
