    Did that already, when i try to add a camera it says 'No more IP cameras allowed' and when i try to delete it says 'No IP camera for deletion'. Thanks for all your help so far btw, much appreciated .

    NO its not, I was thinking something along that line, that somehow the cameras picked up the address from somewhere else

    Sorry about the late reply, I'll send some more pics when i reach at the site, but another thing I noticed is that the "discovered" cameras have a 10.148.79.xxx address and the default gateway is 192.168.1.1 and the NVR internal addresses is set to start from 192.168.254.1, how is it possible...

    yes, I am trying to connect the LAN based camera to the NVR, i followed your steps and still the camera has not showed up

    This is the issue i am currently faced with, only difference is that the "two" sets of cameras have different IP addresses
