    Mini-Review EmpireTech IPC-Color4M-T

There is a newer revision 33, which is running well on my Color4M-T's. DH_IPC-HX3XXX-Goethe_MultiLang_PN_Stream3_V3.140.0000000.33.R.260731 IPC-HDW3449H-AS-PV-PRO

    Dahua WizColor 2449-ProX vs WizColor 2449-Pro ("Color4M-TL")

Yes, the overexposure remover is not great for people, but for example, when using a B54PRO as a LPR, it seems to work great.

    Dahua WizColor 2449-ProX vs WizColor 2449-Pro ("Color4M-TL")

Great review/comparison! I like all the details you documented. Also, totally agree about the need for 6mm. On my cameras that aren't varifocal, 2.8mm and 6mm are my most frequently used. I hardly ever use my 3.6's.

    Color4M-T new firmware available

New firmware update for the Color4M-T (IPC-HDW3449H-AS-PV-PRO). It was posted on the Dahua site today. Loaded it on two of my cameras tonight, but I haven't had a chance to check what improvements have been made. Seems to be running fine. It's now at rev. 33. IPC-HDW3449H-AS-PV-PRO

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

Now, now, just a second... I have heard that Part 2 of the review has him sprinting through a hurricane while juggling chainsaws and the camera set for "auto."

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

I could have easily rendered the sign on the fence with Photoshop, but instead I opted to use ChatGPT. Ha ha, I was lazy. Regarding the settings on the 54PRO, I recently swapped out that camera for a B54IR-ZE-S3 overlooking the paper street behind my back fence. The B54IR just works a lot better...

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

You are correct. You don’t hear it on the recording because I don’t have a mic on the ptz, but at that moment in the recording I have an IVS tripwire on the Color4k-x (mounted on my garage) that is playing the sound of a growling dog. I have sound effects on some of my cameras just to get a...

IPC-Color4K-X S2 - Motion Stutter Despite Extensive Troubleshooting

Since you have checked drivers and cabling, the next thing I would check would be the software settings. Here is what I use: H.264.H (works best with this camera) Encoding: General CBR (don't use VBR) 3840x2160 resolution 15 frames/sec. 15-iFrame 16384 Kb/s (although you could drop it to 12288...

It is the first in this clip.

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

I think I need to add a sign, where I am using the 54PRO.

I use the day/night switch on my 54IR's.

    Quick comparison video of Color4K-X Series 1 & 2

Dahua posted some new firmware for the Color4K-X-S2 (DH-IPC-HFW5849T1-ASE-LED). I tested it first on my 2.8mm, and after that checked out fine, I uploaded the firmware to my 6mm. The release notes say the changes are mostly improved AI functions. Seems to be running great with no glitches. If...

    2026 New Release from EmpireTech

Ha ha, yeah. and it still uses the horrible "new" mount. Doesn't Dahua ever listen to its customers? I'll never buy a camera that doesn't use a set screw. I have a new T54IR-AS-S3 sitting in the closet that I haven't ever used because of that mount.

Dahua WizColor 5x59-PRO and SmartLight 5x59-IL new series

ODE TO THE 5x59-PRO I walked into the forum on a dusty Tuesday night, Looking for a partner that'll treat my fields just right. Andy grinned and tipped his hat, said, "Son, what'll it be?" I said, "Before I sign that paper, prove a thing to me." Chorus I'd gladly buy a Series 7, don't you leave...
