Happy to report this has all been sorted out and fixed in 5.9.9.66 Also now the log shows Profile 1 (Day in my case) as the others always have. It also will log if you have a certain camera inactive on any profile when that profile is selected. Here are a couple of screen shots. The big feature...
I have used Reddawg's BI5updateMgmt-v2.0 along with BI auto export for years. You can never have enough backups of the BI registry as this is where ALL the settings are stored and ran from.
I was having this exact issue with my 180 cam. I only specified 4GB and that wasn't enough. Changed it to 6GB and it has been perfect just like Vettester's above. As you can see, sometime the clips came in under 4GB, but some not.
Here is the API manual, but not sure if you can trigger an IVS rule.

So been testing this action set feature to the sunrise/sunset and running a web request. It works when I manually set the time a few minutes ahead to test everytime, but for some reason BI is not running the action set correctly when configured to the "Relative to sunrise/sunset" option. Just a...
I have 4 of these running now and have no issues with any of them. 2 uplink ports as well as an SFP...can't beat em.

yes, I use the same string on my IPC-Color4K-T180 and it works fine. Also use it on older Dahua cams.
night profile string: user:[email protected]/cgi-bin/configManager.cgi?action=setConfig&VideoInMode[0].Config[0]=1
day profile string...
I found that you do NOT need any delay between the web request. I had one of my cams wrong and that is why it wasn't switching. Now it all works great
Action Set 1 I used for sunrise
Action set 2 I used for sunset
Then just added all the cams I want to change under ONE cam's...
still playing around with it. I did find that I can just configure one camera to a "Action set1" but then just keep adding more cams, I also put a 1 sec. wait time between switching, not sure if it needed that, but it works great.
Now you can configure the web request command to switch Dahua DAY/NIGHT profiles, without using the PTZ preset method. At this time Ken has added 8 "action sets" which each cam will require 2.
I was hoping and he still may, just add the "web request or MQTT" command" as that is all we need to...
I also like to check my crashdump folder to see how often BI crashes.

You can open the .dmp files by using Windbg available in the windows store. I tried it but way too deep for me at this point :)
I thought I noticed that on some of your first clips. Why I'm hesitant to try the animal firmware. I do not see that type of movement on mine. Maybe go through the global config once....just guessing what might cause that, like its too sensitive.
