    Exporting video to a USB flash drive. No way would I ever put a NVR in an attic...between hot and cold the temperatures are just too extreme. Even a POE switch would be iffy.

    You could certainly use a PTZ with a long zoom to do it, but then you lose the versatility of using the PTZ for other things. I saw some pics on here a couple years ago of someone hiding a PTZ up in a soffit. If you can hide a bullet camera behind a gutter it might be a good use case. I used to...

    A lot of the cameras will allow you to flip the camera to corridor mode in the camera GUI. Better to do it there than the NVR if the camera supports it. You're probably better off with a 3.6mm lens anyway, as the minimum in-focus distance is going to be higher with a 6mm lens than a 3.8mm lens.

    Maybe something like this? It might be too small for your needs but if you can set up the solar panels, you might be able to run with just them depending on your power needs.
