    Thanks all for the "warm" welcome. I did call Hikvision here in the US and they tell me they won't support this Unit because it is from China. So it is going back to Amazon. got me a GW DVR instead.

    Folks, Newbie here, trying to connect these Lorex Cams to the Hikvision DVR. The DVR just won't activate the Cams. It will detect them using port 35000, but then tells me "weak password" or "risk password" and will just not let me add these ams. The Protocol is another one, which one to use...
