    I bought a bunch of the 185lb magnets which are actually 55lb on a vertical surface. I’ll add 2-4 of them. They are treaded so they will physically bolt to the junction box.

    Will connecting a Poe switch to the NVR POE port work? Not to the normal Ethernet port.

    New UNV NVR and was wondering if I could connect a POE switch to one of the 16 Poe ports in the back of the NVR instead of connecting it to the Ethernet port on the NVR.

    3D printed hardware thread

    Basically a ceiling / soffit mount. The box Hikvision sells is so thick it’s unnecessary and makes it so bulky. The gland can’t fit behind the factory camera because it’s like 1/4 inch or less too short. A box that is half the thickness of that factory box would be amazing.

    I have done tons of these same setups. That corner trim piece between the siding will hide the cable and have NEVER had any issues.
