    For completeness sake this item is now fully functional. It powers up quite happily from pins 9/10 of the multi connector using a 24v DC power supply. I popped back here to share the good news and ask about poe splitters and 48-24v conversion only to note @iwanttosee is way ahead of me! So...

    I have a couple of golden oldies (yes even older than the P5625), a P5532 and a P5515. I might whip them apart to see if they share any components.

    Thanks, I believe it is marked PTEFD25-13NL and the best I can find so far related to the packaging (ETD-39) and an unspecified prduct from here: PTEFD25-13NL - Prosper Electronics I am still really none the wiser but it's early days. The code could be internal specific only to Axis internally...

    Well it ended up being super cheap on eBay and I really like the old super zoom (30x) feature so I took a pint on one advertised as "not tested". LOL. Yeah I bet they didn't. Anyway it seems to be an issue with POE and I think the issue might be related to this: Underneath is a transformer...
