    After opening it up, it looks like the best road to take is to order a replacement cable from Ali. It's all of $6. I think the hardest part is going to be removing the original epoxy that is sealing around the cable. That stuff is SOLID.

    I'm having trouble configuring the motion sensing on my cameras. I am trying to set an area so that it ignores the street and sidewalk but it appears that the cameras are ignoring the area setting. I have made sure there is only 1 region in use and that I've hit all save buttons in the Web UI...

    Based on what you've said so far, you might want to look into pro a/v cameras if you want "real time." It all depends on what is important to you. Slow mo? 30fps is a bit slow for sports which really starts out at 60fps and goes up from there. Picture quality? You won't find many of these...
