Empirecandy IPC-T5442T-ZE + Ubiquiti and AI

Thank you for that - I just worked that out after buying and installing a HDD into my UDM Pro... bit of a shame since that was a total waste of money I bought the EmpireCandy versions of the Dahua as I was told they were safer that the actual Dahua... wouldn't the NVR be counter intuitive?

Empirecandy IPC-T5442T-ZE + Ubiquiti and AI

So use the Dahua AI features directly on the camera vs. using that AI Project connected to Blue Iris? The AI project didn't seem to do anything for me and felt totally useless....

Empirecandy IPC-T5442T-ZE + Ubiquiti and AI

Hi all I have a few questions I hope I could get some help with. After 4 years with BlueIris, I am getting sick of the crashes and difficult interface - it is just too much for my parents who are getting older. We have a Ubiquiti system at home and so I am going to move across to Unify Protect...

    Mobile App on multiple phones

Interesting - so I currently have L2TP setup on the UniFi UDM Pro - that is how I am getting in. Maybe the screenshot via email is the way to go, only downside there is that if 3 or 4 emails come through at once, the iPhone groups them and it might get lost in the feed vs. a dedicated app...

    Mobile App on multiple phones

Sorry, yes I am focusing primarily when away from home. I am savvy with port forwarding and VPN but I was trying to make it as easy as possibly for the family - i.e. we have a Nest Hello doorbell, notices activity, sends a push notification. I was wondering if there was a 'safe' way of doing...

    Mobile App on multiple phones

I was hoping to make it easier on the parents - going to VPN > To UI3 will be too much for them. Opening up UI3 to the internet, despite the login page I feel is too risky (open to thoughts on that though - perhaps the IP blocking feature will be enough)? Family sharing unfortunately has a...

    Mobile App on multiple phones

Hi All, So we have finally finished our new house, running BI but now comes the process of being able to monitor the cameras remotely and also get notifications when movement is detected. I was looking at the BI app which is $14.99 on the Australian App Store, we have 11 devices which need...

Who uses Dahua AI capable cameras? Reliable AI for triggering events? Pro's/con's?

Thanks @wittaj, you have been a lifesaver! I will give that a shot.

Direct to Disk...Should I do it?

Haha - :wtf: - this is what happens after a long day at work and then trying to help set up this house back home! Thank you

Direct to Disk...Should I do it?

I don't seem to have that option -

Who uses Dahua AI capable cameras? Reliable AI for triggering events? Pro's/con's?

Are there any instructions anywhere on the best settings in the Camera and also in Blue Iris. We just installed 7 cameras and they are recording continuously because cars keep driving up and down the street - where do I set this up, in BI or in the Camera? Under Smart motion Detection in the...
