    Alerts play unrelated clips

    I am having a similar issue, but not because of the version. I am still using 5.7.1.3. I was trying to convert an MKV file to MP4 and the computer locked up. Once I rebooted, my alerts stop posting. Motion is triggering as before and all cameras are recording, but nothing to the alerts list...

    Lorex Security is not connecting to the internet

    I had the Lorex system with 6 cameras. Same experience about 2 years ago. Turned out the internal network adapter in the NVR died. Lorex said I could purchase a new NVR. I took the opportunity to go with Blue Iris. Much happier. Hope yours is something else, but Blue Iris is so much better.

    When my Lorex NVR died (Ethernet port died), I switched to BI. One silver lining was in side the Lorex NVR was a WD 2TB drive. I used this in my BI machine build.

    Agreed. In my situation, I repurposed one of my 6 Lorex cameras in the picture above. I am upgrading, my cameras, this will be one. I think the lorex is a 4mm. I don't want the wall, soffit or Ahole neighbors house in the frame. Any specific recommendation on a suitable camera? Just bought...

    Great thread. I relatively new to to all this. But, as I learned in this thread--I could put to use an old Fire 7 as an monitor. Works great. Thanks all for the great information.

    I can't disagree. As a newbie, just playing around with coverage and going cheap. Continuing to learn before higher investment in better cameras.

    I am a newbie, I had a lorex camera in the garage. It was kind of a waste having an outdoor camera inside. So, I bought a 2 pack of Reolink E1 Pro cameras and swapped out the Lorex for one of the Reolinks. Very happy with the swap. The 2 pack was about $85, look like the price jumped abit...
