    I have NTP server it on my router, the computer can do it also, but you have to point the camera to yoru PC, correct?, What I want to avoid is any hard-coded network settings in the cameras. I use reserved DHCP IP addressing for the cameras in case I ever need to move one to a different network...

    Just a bit frustrated that I cannot set DHCP option 42 in my DHCP server and have it look at the default router for NTP, since I do not allow my cameras to talk to the internet directly, even for ntp. Using AI, i see that Verkada and AXIS do this, but that is a big price jump for one small feature.

    BINGO.... initially during the PoE problem I was local, but to continue troubleshooting from home, I used RDP... and this feature added to the problem... I have changed to unrestricted. Thank you so much!!!

    Interestingly, the delay is down to 7-8 seconds.... but that still seems like a lot... AND the clock on the camera in BI only updates every 5 seconds... That does nto seem to be normal.. I did a factory reset less than 2 weeks ago, and have only changed network settings, toggled the PTZ...

    restarting, rebooting... Yes, that is on my list for the day, but a port cannot cause an 18-20 second delay in video, that is a LOT of data in a buffer, and a switch just doesn't have the ability.

    I never said the camera settings were resetting, I said the whole camera was resetting... and that does not explain the long delay in the video feed!
