Dahua/Empiretech NVR Storage - Meaning of the asterisk next to one of the two HDD #'s?

I was unclear - I mean how the cameras are displayed, storage settings (e.g. General, Motion, etc.), and any other NVR-specific settings.

Dahua/Empiretech NVR Storage - Meaning of the asterisk next to one of the two HDD #'s?

OK, cool. What about the camera settings and other configuration, please? Are they stored on either of the drives or only in NVR memory - untouched when the drives are formatted? (I don't see any other provision, other than formatting, to empty the contents of the drives.)

Remote-via-Internet KVM - Full remote access to Empiretech NVR

We've just tested a GL.iNet Comet (GL-RM1) Remote KVM Over Internet device with tailscale. It provides full remote keyboard, mouse, and monitor access to a Empiretech NVR - as if directly plugged into it. (This bypasses the Web access restrictions for several features.) Just thought I'd share...

Dahua/Empiretech NVR Storage - Meaning of the asterisk next to one of the two HDD #'s?

In the Dahua/Empiretech NVR Storage - Disk Manager window there's an asterisk next to one of the two HDD #'s - what does it mean, please? I want to empty the drives so we can observe disk usage with changed settings. I don't want to risk wiping all of the camera settings when I format. Thanks.

Access to NVR via Wireguard & nomachine

Looks like SiPEED is joining the upgraded-features race & their github says they've moved to open source for the NanoKVM-Pro sipeed 矽速科技 官网

Access to NVR via Wireguard & nomachine

Looked awesome until ... "The GLKVM App is a Windows and macOS-exclusive application designed for remote access and control of devices connected to GL.iNet's KVM devices, such as the Comet (GL-RM1) making it ideal for IT professionals, remote workers, and power users who need direct access to...

Access to NVR via Wireguard & nomachine

When I looked at 'SmartPSS' it only mentioned MS versions of windows - and I don't do MS. Linux only. DMSS appears to use a cloud link of some sort & I'm trying to simply, rather than add, layers of dependency/gatekeepers wherever I can. OK re. reporting back what I discover. Thanks.

Access to NVR via Wireguard & nomachine

If we connect an HDMI Encoder (e.g. 1080P P60 that supports SRT, RTMP, RTSP, RTMPS, UDP, HTTP, HLS) to the HDMI port of a Empiretech nvr7616-16p-2ai - we should be able to view the display remotely (via Wireguard then a Raspberry Pi hosting nomachine.) Note: The HDMI encoder would have it's own...

Live view stuck but Remote Device shows active feed

It (and another one that's working fine) is connected to a wireless bridge that's then connected to a switch that's connected to a managed switch that's connected to the router - and the NVR 'finds' it there. It's been working fine ...

Live view stuck but Remote Device shows active feed

Yeah. It's bizarre. The NVR is receiving the streaming video but for some reason isn't updating it to the HDMI monitor - but only on one channel. (It would seem to be a NVR problem vs a Reolink camera problem.)

Live view stuck but Remote Device shows active feed

I can view my Camera "D7" here ~/#/index/RemoteDevice/cameraConfig on my Empiretech NVR NVR16CH-16P-2AI gui and it looks fine. But when I go to "Live" ~/#/index/preview/ it displays correctly as well. But on the HDMI monitor, connected to the NVR, it displays as an old, fixed-image, from the...
