To continue having China be our product factory would keep prices lower than they are now but at what cost? I, for one, am okay to pay more for products due to tariffs if we can become isolationist at the same time we’re leading the world and being a member of the global economy. -

As I was listening to AM radio today, a show host suggested that Trump remove tariffs on items like groceries, coffee, aluminum used for soda and beer cans, etc. which would immediately impact those who are struggling in a very positive way. I support this idea. -

We can’t keep going down the road of cheap goods from China and expect that all will be okay. At least tariffs are a consumption tax. -

Perhaps not a popular opinion but at some point it doesn’t matter what it costs to make “stuff” here, like drugs, semi-conductors, you name it, because we cannot be beholden to our allies/adversaries. -

^^^ With NY appeals court ruling that the penalty was unconstitutional (8th amendment), this opens the door for the DOJ to continue its probe into the NY AG’s office and James herself for violating Trump’s constitutional rights.
