    Multiple Alerts setup questions

Ended up contacting support. Ken responded and straightened the issue out in the next update. Kudos to his genuine concern on such a small issue and rapid response.

    Multiple Alerts setup questions

I would appreciate some advice or insight on how to properly configure a BI camera to elicit an action requiring multiple alerts. I have tried a few permutations with zero success. As a benchmark I enabled a sound that will respond to a single trigger. However, when employing any minimum in...

    BI crashes!

I have same system i5-3470 with 8GB RAM. 16 cameras 81 MP/sec. Runs at 10-12% CPU. Go over the Optimizing in Wiki like wittaj suggested. It's the setup NOT the gear. You'll love it

    Restart after unexpected shutdown

Apologies for the noob cell pics. I read the Admin section and read it again. The instructions in the manual are for the initial setup and have no effect after the fact.( The incorrect settings stick like a barnacle) I UNCHECKED the ' RUN AS A WINDOW SERVICE' , rebooted, and THEN followed the...

    Restart after unexpected shutdown

Strange situation going on for months. System restarts twice a day following the shift from Night profile to daytime profile and back again, on the BI server. Not sure if the service goes down too. Wondered why so close to the same time and determined it was following the civic twilight/sunrise...

    Worth the update!

I'm really happy with the Continuous+Alerts recording. It is such a huge savings on disk space that I'm still waiting to see how many days 12TB can hold. The Dual Stream and C+A allows my i5-3470 to run 12 cameras 80MP/s at 10-12% CPU! Very impressed with the software. Kudos to the designer(s)...

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

In the ONVIF app when you select Sub-stream and view it in Live the sub URL should show in the bottom of the screen.

    5.2.7.0 - RTSP sub-streams for high-MP cameras

ONVIF Device manager is a good and free program. It will illustrate the correct URL to use in the BI parameters. Toggle between streams and the URL will be listed during the live view screen.

The Dreaded GAP. Very Frustrated New User

True. Multi camera view will be limited to 3 FPS. My system is only an i5 3470. Any higher FPS on the sub works my CPU over. If something is of interest I just click and full stream in its glorious majesty is revealed. On an underpowered system ever bit helps sometimes.

The Dreaded GAP. Very Frustrated New User

CPU usage is high. You're not benefitting from the substream to lower the CPU usage. Go into each camera GUI and lower the resolution and frame rate of the substream. I have had no issues with setting mine ,as an example, as such: 4MP camera- Main stream (2688*1520) @30fps i-Frame@30 (it's...
