    all about SD59230U-HNI

Did you ever get this working? I have a white label version purchased from EMPIRETECANDY, so I'm not sure if the official Dahua firmware will work on it.

Firmware for newer dahua cams as well as detailed specs available here

Does anyone know if the firmware on Download Firmwares for IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M is the correct firmware for IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M/M12? I'm not sure if the M12 on the end is actually a different model or not. I'm currently on "2.622.0000000.31.R, Build Date: 2018-08-13" I also have a SD59230U-HNI...

    IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M/M12 dome cover screw size

Does anyone know the screw size for the dome cover of IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M/M12 cameras? I had to take my cover off to change the SD card, and one of the 3 screws fell out and was lost. IP Cam Talk Cliff Notes lists #10-32 x 3/8" as a size, but I'm not sure if that's for just the mounting screws...

Dahua cameras suddenly reporting "RTSP: 404 Not Found" in Blue Iris

The cameras are on a separate VLAN (the Windows computer has a NIC also on that VLAN). This setup has been working fine for a year and a half before it just stopped working properly maybe a month or so ago. I actually just discovered that I can get it mostly stable if I disable the substreams...

Dahua cameras suddenly reporting "RTSP: 404 Not Found" in Blue Iris

I haven't tried different switch ports, but logging into the switch it doesn't show any errors on those ports (Ubiquiti EdgeSwitch-48-500W). I haven't tried removing and re-adding the cameras yet. I've always had the 404 issue with the cameras when I make a change, but previously it would sort...

Dahua cameras suddenly reporting "RTSP: 404 Not Found" in Blue Iris

I've started having a problem recently where 2 of my 3 Dahua IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M/M12 cameras report "RTSP: 404 Not Found" in Blue Iris. Generally Blue Iris will be able to pull one of the cameras up, and the other other almost immediately goes offline. They'll both stay offline for 5 minutes or...

No Absolute PTZ positioning in BI 5?

Nope, that brings it to the PTZ Home location (basically coordinates 0,0).

No Absolute PTZ positioning in BI 5?

No, that's "stop". So I assume it's for if you have it set to constantly move, it would stop it from moving.

No Absolute PTZ positioning in BI 5?

I have a Dahua PTZ that supports absolute PTZ (SD59230U-HNI), however I can't seem to get the button for it to show up in BI 5. It looks like BI 4 had this as an icon with crosshairs: But BI 5 has no such icon. I have tried setting up the camera as Amcrest/Dahua and as ONVIF (OXML), but...

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M Dual Starlight Cam

Any word on the new firmware from @EMPIRETECANDY for these? It seems Dahua released 2.622.0000000.32.R.190827 in March. Also curious about what changed.

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M Dual Starlight Cam

It might just be the thing that puts the link over the limit. Or maybe that camera uses a higher bitrate, or it's more sensitive to link jitter and packet loss. I just know that powerline causes issues for a lot of people. But as usaf_pride said, maybe try unplugging some of the other cameras...

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M Dual Starlight Cam

Powerline adapter is probably your issue. They should be avoided whenever possible, because they have unpredictable latency spikes and packet loss. In some cases a dedicated wifi link might even be better. Is MOCA a possibility instead? To confirm that's the issue, I'd try moving the Blue Iris...

    1st stream can be any fps <= 25, h265 or h264, and 1080p (1920x1080)/ 1.3M (1280x960) / 720p (1280x720). Substream can be any fps <= 25, h265/h264/mjpeg, and d1 (704 x 576) / cif (352 x 288).

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M Dual Starlight Cam

Interestingly, it seems that Snapshots for the IVS trigger occur. I disabled Snapshots for motion detection on both cameras, and set my IVS rules to take snapshots. The "disabled" camera correctly captures Snapshots when people or cars enter the IVS zone. It just won't record video.

    Review-Dahua IPC-HDBW4231F-E2-M Dual Starlight Cam

2.622.0000000.31.R using IE on a Windows 10 VM as well. I can add tripwire or intrusions to both for IVS, and they both show up in the settings. However only one is active at a time. Only the camera that is selected in Smart Plan shows the overlay in Live View, and that's the only camera that...
