    Yes I understand, but mine doesn't work that way, my camera either doesn't see debug_cmd.sh, or just ignores it, which is why i'm trying to find the UART pins, I want to see how you guys have it set up, and what you guys did step by step to get a result.

    Alright, thanks for explaining that, may I ask, you mentioned "you'll need to edit the bootargs in the env to enable it", are you able to explain what you did there to get the bootargs? I mean, if I can't access uart boot logs, how am I supposed to enable UART at all?

    My source is that I used the app to update the camera, and then the file got saved to the micro sd card. I don't know what server they used, or the link to it. So I do apologise. However are you sure that those pins are correct? Are you able to send a photo of your setup and what you did?

    Sorry again for the late reply, The issue i'm having is the fact that the pins on the SoC are absolutely tiny, I mean a grain of rice is probably bigger then the pins, it looks larger because I just zoomed in. I don't think it would be possible for me to solder that. What could I do really now?

    I have a raspberry pi 5, couldn't I just connect a wire to the rx to it and test each pin? I don't have oscilloscope or a logic analyser and while they are under £10, I could just manually test each one doing this.

    My camera doesn't have any 3.3v labelling? To be fair it isn't a PTZ camera, mines like a smaller form factor one, and I have tried to use the debug_cmd.sh onto my sd card but nothing changes, I think my camera doesn't check that file, I don't think my camera even accepts serial?     You say you got root access through serial, but do you need to do that to use your github repo? I'm just asking because I don't have any experience with serial at all, I only mentioned it because other ip cameras need it.
