    Since you're planning a full build, just post your floor plan and gear list in the main sub with a "System Design" flair; the blokes here love tearing into (and optimising) a good wiring map. Just a heads-up: skip the 4K-on-a-tiny-sensor traps and look into cameras with decent low-light sensors...

    Rapid switching between IR and Color

    That rapid "hunting" is a classic pain in the neck and it definitely puts extra wear on the mechanical IR cut filter. You need to find the "threshold" or "hysteresis" settings in your config to widen the gap between when it switches, or just set a hard schedule for day/night mode so the poor...
