    Can't change Time Plan Settings

Tried, I think correctly. I change the Profile to "night" (drop down box at the top of this particular page), click on "night" in the Time Plan settings, and try to change or fill in different times. Nothing changes. Edit - I can move the day slider but can't change or insert any new colors...

    Can't change Time Plan Settings

Per the title - I would like to customize the settings on my Dahua/EmpireTech camera which would need, at a minimum, to have Day and Night different settings/profiles. But I cannot change the time plan settings in the camera. I have tried: different browsers (chrome, firefox, IE, Edge in IE...

Trying to pick a home automation system - BI integration is a must

Check these out then, and there a few other threads on the Homeseer forums that address this issue. Can I run HS3 and Blue Iris on the same machine ? - HomeSeer Message Board Computer/Server Requirements - HomeSeer Message Board

Trying to pick a home automation system - BI integration is a must

I have two separate machines, a Hometroller Zee S2 and a dedicated BI machine (a cheap $250 PC off of ebay). I would guess that with a higher end machine you could run both on one if you wanted, but this was just as easy and relatively cheap. The Zee S2 does all I could want at least for now.

Trying to pick a home automation system - BI integration is a must

Yes. I just set up a quick event to check this. I have a couple of motion detectors in the house and though it is a nonsensical action in this particular case, you could start a camera recording (or other stuff) based on a motion trigger. Enabling/disabling a camera would make a bit more sense.

Trying to pick a home automation system - BI integration is a must

I don't know too much about OpenHAB or Domoticz other than what I have just googled.....based on that, I would answer your question with 'yes' it would be more expensive. OpenHAB and Domoticz are free/open source, Homeseer is not. You pay for the base system and any plugins you want eg Blue...

I second Homeseer as a good option.

Got robbed... looking for ideas to make me more secure

I would also start looking at adding more home automation (as you have to some degree with the smart garage opener). As you build it up you'd be amazed at what a good system will do. Smart locks are a great addition for example. And there are systems that will integrate with BI. edit: oops...

Wish I could help but that is not something I have seen and would be beyond my (limited) expertise.....

Not with that particular gateway, no. However Randy's guide is pretty much spot on (I have the same router) and I did not have to do any port forwarding, his guide says nothing about that either. I did have to update my Asus router firmware.

Is there a reliable online source for quality premade cables?

I have had no issues with anything I have purchased from below. In Canada, so shipping to the US may create some extra issues, although the exchange will be good. Infinite Cables | Your Online Source for Connectivity Solutions

    VPN Primer for Noobs

BI app works great. Important in the context of what I have been doing (VPN setup only) is the good info in the following post. It wasn't clear to me, and I wanted to know before I bought the app, that the app hooked up properly through the VPN. BI mobile app and VPN - issues connecting
