    Hourly gaps in recording

Thanks everyone. I checked the clips tab and sure enough a new clip was being created for those 2 cameras at the exact time of their hourly outage. The clip size at time of transition was 2.92GB which is slightly less than the 3GB threshold I set, but close to it I guess. A new clip runs from...

    Hourly gaps in recording

I have been told that this can occur when BI transitions to a new recording file. I have set "Combine or cut video" to 1 hour or 3GB so the time interval would be right. Can anyone confirm this?

    Hourly gaps in recording

Thanks - well there were definitely no entries in the logs within 2-3 minutes either side of the event that I checked this morning. I guess that means that it is not camera or network related.

    Hourly gaps in recording

Thanks. I checked the compact/reindex setting and it is set to 2:00am daily (?default) which it seems to be doing according to the logs. It seems that it is something else. I checked again this morning and the behaviour continues. It seemed to be a few seconds later in the hour today so possibly...

    Hourly gaps in recording

I have recently discovered a weird thing happening where 2 out of my 5 cameras show a 6 second gap in the recordings every hour. I am running Blue Iris in a VM under Proxmox. The 2 cameras in question happen to both be my Dahua 5442 cameras. This may be just a coincidence. The 3 other cameras...

Computer becoming non-responsive and losing alerts in time line

After turning off HA (globally and for each camera) I experienced no more crashes and was really happy with the stability of my system..... until today. For the first time in 7 months it locked up again. I have to manually power it off and when restarted it seems to have rebuild the database...

Computer becoming non-responsive and losing alerts in time line

Any ideas on the older alerts disappearing from the timeline and alerts clip list? You think it could also be related to using harware acceleration?

No sorry that is confusing. I meant Hardware Acceleration.

Computer becoming non-responsive and losing alerts in time line

I had wondered this. Im using 2 Skyhawk 4tb drives as a dynamic volume. They pass the healthchecks on crystaldiskinfo but do have some hours of them. How to tell?

Computer becoming non-responsive and losing alerts in time line

Well you have convinced me to try that for sure. The Xeon doesn't have iGPU so using the card was needed for HA. I'll activate substreams and turn off HA and see if it helps.

Computer becoming non-responsive and losing alerts in time line

Blue Iris is not set to autoupdate.

Computer becoming non-responsive and losing alerts in time line

I am using it for HA. I am not running substreams at the moment, just limiting frame rate in the view to 5 FPS. Apart from that yes i have gone through the wiki. I have not downloaded codeproject. For me just alerts via IVS is enough. Its the latest stable version (not on computer right now)...

Computer becoming non-responsive and losing alerts in time line

I have been using Blue Iris for a few weeks now. Im am running on a Dell 5820 with Xeon and Nvidia P2000. Only other application on the machine is Home Assistant on a Hyper V VM. Licensed version of Windows 10 Pro. I have had 5 instances now of a random non-responsive computer. Recordings stop...

Cameras stopped working in Blue Iris after events request 00002efd

I just noticed that 2 of my cameras stopped recording 2 days ago. BI UI shows "No signal" but the cameras are working fine - I can navigate to their interface no problem. Might be coincidence but it happens to be both of my Dahua 5442 cams. I have another Dahua 2431 which continues to work fine...

    Video scaling in UI

The jagged edges on my Dahua 5442 and 2431 cams when viewing the live feed drives me a bit nuts. I have changed the video scaling setting on the console settings to bilinear and it looks sooo much better when viewing there. Despite some reports, in my case it appeared to have no real impact on...
