    One thing to note is that while we do have street lights, it is a quieter residential street so the lighting level is fairly low, with long distances between the lights. I believe the bullet cameras have double the IR emitters, if that makes a huge difference for LPR.

    I can recommend fastcat cable. Great quality solid copper cable, made in South Korea. For plugs and crimp tool I use Klein. Just make sure you get pass-thru plugs, also available from other brands cheaper.

    IPC-T54IR-AS vs 5442-AS Housing/Mounting Differences

    I've avoided buying any of these models with the new mount for this reason, they look like a far inferior mount. It's a good thing the varifocal still comes with the proper mount for now.
