Sensor size for indoor camera.
why fisheye cameras are never ideal sensor size ? i see there is 12mp cameras on 1/2.8" sensor from biggest brands like axis or hanwha but never saw it on 1/1.2" for example or bigger ? is it acceptable for fisheye cameras to have higher mp on less than ideal sensor size?- fekry

well there is nothing moving, its just pointing to the ceiling, i tried to change the image to day only instead of auto, the clicking frequency decreased considerably, but its still there for sure. here is the video -

which would you prefer ?
never thought about it that way, which makes perfect sense now especially with PTZ at further away objects. out of curisosity if comparing 4mp ptz on 1/1.8" to a 2mp ptz but on 1/2.8", would the 2mp still be better choice for objects at a far distance? since you would need lower amount of light...- fekry

For night time which would you prefer ? 4mp ptz with 1/1.8" sensor or 2mp ptz with 1/1.8" sensor I am thinking 2mp with that large sensor should be better at night time vision and moving objects but 4mp on ideal sensor size would give me bigger image, not sure which would i get. what do you...- fekry

why it isn't good to constantly zoom a varifocal ? do you mean set it to max zoom and forget is not ideal ? if yes I am wondering why or do you mean its not ideal to contantly zoom in and out ? which makes sense to not affect mechanical parts- fekry
