    ? strange posts didn't show up. yes never knew we could do that. reduced the resolution to 720p and that has fixed it. was a resource issue with the nvr and the new camera being set at a much higher resolution by default.

    OH that seems to have fixed it. I'm not sure whether it's the manual dial or, or I changed the camera resolution to 720P instead of 2688x1520. ***Just tested it, yes it appears to be a resource issue. The old NVR couldn't handle the higher resolution. Changing to 720P did the trick.

    Added new HikVision cameras to old NVR, now they don't work on the new one?

    Actually just fixed. Just reset the entire NVR back to factory default and all cameras seem to work fine now. There was a password facility when I setup the nvr in the wizard to set a password for the cameras which i find odd.

    Yep. The NVR didn't find the cameras with the POE switch plugged into the LAN switch. Do you mean setup all 16 cameras with a static IP address and disable DHCP from the NVR? I have a non-managed POE switch btw.
