    I am fairly certain it will just save the h.264 stream directly to disc, obviously it is decoded to screen output aswell, and in that case it handles 8 cameras realtime.

    Tbh. I've only used it with record on motion detection in 720P, so rarely all cameras at once, but there has been no problems with 4 cameras connected. I don't think there will be with 8 cameras either. About the audio, I think it is possible, I don't have microphone in my cams so can't verify...

    You may be better of installing ISpy on your PC and have it record on motion detection. The cameras work fine with ISpy, just use Onvif Camera wizard.     I have seen them fail when used from a computer connected via WiFi, but working fine when the computer is connected via network cable.

    I set up my own smtp server and disabled SSL to get it to work. If I enable SSL on my smtp server, the camera rejects it with bad SSL certificate, same error as with gmail/yahoo/hotmail.
