Wow thanks a lot for this. I've really been beating myself up trying to figure out how to access them. I have a 7716 and from what I have read it does have this function. I'm going to work on setting it up tonight thanks again
Thanks for the tip. I found another thread with a solution. Ran an ethernet cable from my router to a poe port on NVR. Changed IP and Subnet of computer to match POE ip/subnet. Ran ethernet from computer to router. Then I could connect to each camera @ 192.168.254.xxx
Thanks, when you say try subnet 255.255.0.0, do you mean at the NVR or at the router? The only connection SADP picks up is the NVR, which is @ 192.168.1.129. It won't pick up the cams at 192.168.254.xxx. I also can't access them through a browser
This is a bit complicated to explain but I will do my best. My router that my NVR is connected to has an IP address of 192.168.1.1. The NVR has an IP of 192.168.1.129. I could not get any of my cameras to connect on the NVR at 192.168.1.xxx, but the all are up and running at 192.168.254.xxx...
I think so, serial # on one of the cams is Ds-2cd2142fwd-i20150710bbwr527893537
The firmware on the cameras is 5.3.2 and 5.3.3, which from what I am seeing on Hikvision.com is newer than the firmware they have listed for that cam. Am I missing something here? Thanks for the help
I'm not sure how to explain what these cameras are doing at night, so I took a video. See below. They are blacking out and taking a few seconds to regain conscience. What do I need to do to fix this? Thanks
Well I just got off the phone with Hikvision tech support. They are telling me that you only have basic functionality in the NVR. All advanced settings including WDR have to be changed in the web interface of each individual camera. Does this sound right? Seems a bit silly to me to have to...
I checked to see if I could upgrade the cameras firmware but it looks like they are newer than 5.3.1 which is the current firmware on Hikvision.com. Any ideas? I have already upgraded the NVR firmware, I had to do that to get it to recognize these cameras
I can't seem to find the option for HDR. Am I looking in the wrong place? Please see the attached images. From the youtube videos I have seen, I should have more options under the configuration/image tab. Am I missing something here? Thanks for any help. One pic is logged into the NVR from...
