    When viewing alerts, tripwire, intrusion etc my video playback seems to miss part of the video. I am using the latest dmss app and my NVR is DHI-NVR2104-i2. Any idea why this is happening?

    Thanks for you help with this I managed to put rj45 on the end and it's working. I am getting about 60 no single errors a day though so dropping signal for very short periods.

    Interesting so cut off the female put on a male and I can plug that directly into the switch? If that works I buy a female to female connector and waterproof it?

    So some how I have got water into the rj45 and it's burnt the contact and some of the plastic has melted at the back. Camera has went off. Does this mean the camera is completely dead? Could I fix it I cleaned the contacts and tried a new cable still dead.
