I think DIY but haven’t attempted it myself.
There may be other factors in that true two way talk involves more than just the hardware...

I know the AS version of the 5442 s3 has and audio out wire. Are there any production kits available to hookup a speaker for two way...

Not equal in image quality*, but the 3449 PV-PRO series has a pretty good mic/speaker setup with true two way talk...
