The Shitification of Dahua - Damn, never knew it would end up this way
Dahua went W0KE
Giving hipster vibes with hairy armp!ts
K@ren will happily buy all of the current Color4M-T and 4M-TZ and T54PRO models
I'll be updating upwards my spare camera count below soon.
Meanwhile, I'll continue to enjoy reading the posters who enjoy getting shitted on as they test the new cameras. Just love the posts pointing out how one of the new crap cameras works great under the right circumstances, such as 03:16:26 A.M. to 03:16:45 A.M. with a light wind from the west, a full moon overhead, and sprinkles from a cloud with two birds off to the east, and no movement of cars or humans within half a mile of the camera.
My Dahua rating of their new lineup is five poops on a scale of one poop to five poops, with five poops being the worst possible.
It's all great now while there's still 5442 camera inventory available, but what happens when there's none left to buy? At some point, even the 5442 cameras everyone owns now will need to be replaced due to lifespan limits.

Yes, buy more. I just ordered four more spares today, April 6, 2026, so my spare count is up to eight black ones. I am good-to-go for beyond my lifetime.
I had someone on another forum where I posted a video recorded early this morning (April 6, 2026) ask me what camera I was using. I can no longer advise anyone to purchase a IPC-T54IR-ZEB-S3 camera since it won't be available for long and there is nothing new from Dahua that interests me that isn't doorstop worthy.
If you are upset with the "crazy" price hike, you can still get a very similar camera with the Omnivision sensor 1/1.8" 4mp FIXED Lens Turret for $175 from Luminys and is NDAA compliant
Thus, if you need a few overview cameras 2.8mm focal length, this is a very relevant model and comes with a 7 year warranty, more than what anybody really needs
