Thank You Andy for this Wonderful News!
Six tickets purchased, and the Lottery Prizes aren't posted yet :lmao:
Happy Sales and Happy Lottery Fun for All!
Me too ;)

Just watch, this will be the time where the grand prize is a 1HDD wifi NVR and there are no other prizes.

Hello,

Is there a camera (from EmpireTech) that can focus as close as 3-5 ft?

I wish to have a camera to show the amount of snow building up on a 24" square board with a vertical yard stick type ruler sticking up from the center. So being able to read the 3/4" numbers on the ruler is and the entire 3 ft ruler are important.

Yes plenty. Look at the “close focus distance” spec. In theory anything less than the shown spec won’t be in perfect focus

IR or white LED? Or no illumination?

This setup works well in the winter months for snow measurement. It is an older Dahua HFW2831T-ZAS-S2 (2.7mm - 13mm). The camera is turned sideways with a snow shield to keep the snow off the lens.

The deck has outside lighting and the cam works well under these lighting conditions. Newer versions most likely better.

Oh nice, even some of the new camera's. :headbang:

But I don't know if it's wise for me to participate this time since my prize from the previous lottery never made it through Dutch customs and is now 3 weeks into it's journey back to you...

Thanks for the info, I would like to not spend too much for the camera as it has such a limited use. That might eliminate vari-focal.

I think IR illumination would be best.

I will dig into the specs of the cameras Andy has on sale.
