About the new highs, you'd think that seeing that headline on July 28 would mean new highs were hit within the last day or two. In reality, the DJIA, S&P 500, and NASDAQ hit their recent peaks between June 2 and July 10 (depending on which index), and have been lower since. Does the linked story explain how they came up with the headline? Nope. In fact it doesn't even mention market prices or highs! Is this a new journalism era, put out some story and give it whatever headline you wish it's message was?

Just had a conversation today with a guy on the beach. Trump MAGA to the core.
We were talking money/investments.
Told me he’s killing it in the market, mostly tech. I was surprised and asked what funds/ETF/stocks… glazed over. “ I don’t pay too much attention to it, I check it once or twice a year…
Also I discovered that there is no amount of facts, proof, data, or any other reality metric that will change their mind. None.
They fall in one into camps
- nice guy but dumb as a fucking rock and mostly ignorant of reality of Trump because they don’t really keep up with “news stuff” and social media is all kids and memes (they have never logged into X ever) ie the Fox News droid
- educated, not ignorant, sees the same stuff I post here routinely, but their ego won’t allow them to admit they’re wrong
It’s sad, frustrating, and scary. Because I truly don’t believe anything can change their mind. They’ll die on that hill as the country sinks into full Banana Republik status
These are exactly like the intraday swings we saw leading up to 2008 GFC

After market and pre market are heavily manipulated. And typically very low volume.
I use after market hours up to 8pm to dump stuff on people chasing at a price I couldn’t get in the real session

Unfortunately, further "Perspective" reveals... what really matters is the result of simple multiplication... rate x principal...
Market need some cooling,and up again. The chips price never see down, and higher this month again for the camera and NVR prices.
