US Elections (& Politics) :)

I think this young man just proved that his DEI free ride was a waste of money and a slot in college. Hopefully he opens his eyes and his mind.

This is a lie, right?
But Trump has stated time and time again that consumers wouldn't pay higher prices on his tariffs... that only countries exporting to the USA would pay the higher prices.
Trump also stated to all the economists in the USA that they didn't have a clue how tariffs worked, that they all called him and showered praise on him and thanking him for showing how tariffs really worked.

Hmmm...

I shoulda not said anything …

There goes avacado prices ..

I was wondering why I felt like I was on top of the world after eating an avocado the other day. I thought the white powdery stuff in the middle was just a weird bruise....I cut it out best I could.

The only reason Trump wants to get rid of the current ACA is because people call it Obamacare. He is stating the exact same plan, except give people the money instead of a discount, and call it Trumpcare.
Let that sink in for a moment. Doesn't care about the outrageous prices of health care, why should any politician care? They all have private doctors, private this, private that...

It's all because of the NAME.

LOL!!!!

Thanks for the laugh of the day!!!

For all does that do not understand health insurance. The price goes up every year regardless if you have OBummer care or not.

If you get a $10 a month raise, your insurance goes up $12 a month.
It has been that way for me since the early 80's. With Bummer care you get a higher out of pocket cost.

Home owners insurance has going up about 35% in the last four years.
Now don't get me started on auto insurance. Oh yah, that lizard can kiss my ass.

Most hospitals are non-profits. They use this insanely marked-up billing as a write-off to maintain their status. It's perverse, but it's what the system is.
Non-profit to me is code for paying certain peoples crazy high salary/bonus so there is no "profit".

My only comment on Obamacare (ACA) is I guess people are forgetting the HUGE increase in EVERYONE's Health Insurance that WE had to pay for caused by this ridiculous AfforableCareAct (There was Nothing Affordable about it) Don't believe me ask anyone who signed up for the so called Act. I know a handful of my friends/coworkers that found better plans privately...since this Act we are also now paying 2 to 3 times more at Hospitals/Clinics/For Doctors, etc...

Had an elderly family member stay 10 days in a hospital from a car accident recently, she had an open wound leg injury, that healed completely without any skin graphing, thank God. Her hospital bill??? Any guess? Over 1 million dollars, no joke...how much did Medicare pay, don't fully know, bills are still coming in. 1 million dollars? Really? This hospital is no high-end hospital either.

The ACA has been a huge windfall for the insurance companies and big pharma. I would guess a lot of this flows back to the politicians.

On my medicare statements, the payment to the provider is usually between 25% and 33% of what they bill for. For pharma, part D, it's usually pretty close to what the list price of the drugs.
