Don't forget Pelosi, she did better than both, haha

One good thing... some smart people jumped on the bandwagon (legally)! Good for them... Pelosi Stock Tracker | Monitor Nancy Pelosi's Trading Portfolio

That crash was also the loans were sold/played with on the Stock Markets...I remember the loans were approved even without Social Security numbers...pretty much all you had to do was show up to get a loan...well close to that :) Hopefully they are not going to be that stupid again....

That was just the start... buy the house you can't afford with a no documentation loan and then pull all the equity with more loans as house prices "soar"... then let the government bail your ass out :( ... and all the banks/corporations that made/let it happen were too big to fail ... bail them out too :(

Yep totally get that.
But of course it doesnt go against your deductible, and with no ACA backstopping the coverage, less rules on what they have to cover, and you have to negotiate. (For some not a problem, for others a big deal)

We’ll soon see.

* of course those with severe health conditions, disabled, pre-conditions etc it’s a whole other story.
When the bill is $150,000 not $1500, self pay won’t be an option

If you dont have an employer plan you can participate in, you can

1- Go direct to an insurance company and see what you can get
2-go to the ACA website and price plans

Many people dont know or pay attention to the differences in plans and coverage. Be sure to compare premium, deductible, out of pocket max, coverage

I’m not old enough for Medicare and have pre-existing conditions. I don’t need or want a subsidy, but I do want coverage until I’m 65.
I was in the same boat before hitting 65. It was ridiculous what the insurance companies designated as a disqualifying pre-existing condition. Too long for me to remember the details, but as a representative example, I had a heart murmur until age mid 20s or so, when it went away, that they would classify as history of heart disease. In Oregon, there was a state-run insurance plan for people that were turned down. It would have been ok for me, except I wanted an HSA eligible plan that they wouldn't offer. (I used it anyway, there were no other options). I can imagine that people in other states might have been screwed.

AI stocks, .. bubble ? .. what me worry ?

I have been riding the No Ins. wave since my wife retired. One thing I found out, Meds without having Ins. are cheaper than with. I am headed out this morning to see my heart Doc. The yearly visit is less than $200, same with my yearly Doc visit. I have not had to change Docs, though still driving almost a couple of hours to see them, this may change.

You have to do what you have to do. Health Ins, or eat? I still blame the system, Ins. is up because Hospitals/Doctors are charging ridiculous prices but they are all in it together though.

Lastly, I don't even trust Hospitals anymore or Doctors for that matter, but here I am going this morning to the Doc....lol

BofA: 1 in 4 US Households Living Paycheck to Paycheck

More than 80% are in debt up to their eyes, most slaves to their mortgages/banks...BofA

But it has always been this way...we have a large % that love to borrow money, most never actually owning anything, just paying loans all of their lives...very sad IMO...

One of the best feelings I ever had in my life was to finally payoff my mortgage...but this is not a goal for many, or if it is they never achieve it...I really don't understand the mind of these Financial Slaves...but the Banks and Mortgage companies sure do...
