Video Enhancement Software?

Someone on my local neighborhood forum is asking if there's a video enhancement software available which can help identify a car's make and model and license plate, and hopefully for free they say. Apparently there was a carload of rowdy kids on Saturday night caught by their home camera.

No, only on television shows. That's why proper choice of cams and placement is key.

The only video enhancement software I've used is YouTube. After uploading a video clip, the YouTube page offers an "Enhancement" tab. It processes the video, and offers a suggested enhanced video. It has a few sliders that let you adjust contrast, brightness, color correction, etc. I usually use their suggested video, without making tweaks. My nighttime video is much better afterwards. I only fooled around with camera settings once or twice to try and match the enhanced YouTube video quality, and was unsuccessful.
But no make/model automatic Id.
If it was one car of kids, one time, why not allow a human determine make/model?

LMFAO!!! There is enhancement software, but no one in their right mind would buy it for personal use.

Look up Ikena. The spotlight version isn't worth anything, but the Forensic is amazing. A bunch of casinos use it around me. You're going to need to donate some organs and an arm or two to get it.

Yes, the Forensic version is as good as the video. Anything with text comes out great in most cases, as long as there are enough frames to extrapolate.

I have used it a lot for image stabilization with good success also.

Pass it around Charles, I would luv to try that software. I tried to find a free version, but gave up.

The original by Motion DSP was a program named Vreveal about 6 years ago. You can still find the older versions online for free. But I'm sure it doesn't compare to the new version.
