US Elections (& Politics) :)

By law, 85% of the cost has to go towards patient care.

It ain’t the insurance companies

My only comment on Obamacare (ACA) is I guess people are forgetting the HUGE increase in EVERYONE's Health Insurance that WE had to pay for caused by this ridiculous AfforableCareAct (There was Nothing Affordable about it) Don't believe me ask anyone who signed up for the so called Act. I know a handful of my friends/coworkers that found better plans privately...since this Act we are also now paying 2 to 3 times more at Hospitals/Clinics/For Doctors, etc...

Had an elderly family member stay 10 days in a hospital from a car accident recently, she had an open wound leg injury, that healed completely without any skin graphing, thank God. Her hospital bill??? Any guess? Over 1 million dollars, no joke...how much did Medicare pay, don't fully know, bills are still coming in. 1 million dollars? Really? This hospital is no high-end hospital either.

The insurance company didn’t bill her. The hospital did

Embarrassing to have a President with the mentality of an 11 year old playground kid taking his ball and going home.
Because he can’t handle criticism of any kind. Now that he’s getting it the wheels are coming off.

The ACA has been a huge windfall for the insurance companies and big pharma. I would guess a lot of this flows back to the politicians.

On my medicare statements, the payment to the provider is usually between 25% and 33% of what they bill for. For pharma, part D, it's usually pretty close to what the list price of the drugs.

Very many think, even from the first day it was implemented, that ObummerKare was designed to fail in order to give "proof" that we needed a severely rationed, long-delay, government-boondoggle system like in Canada or the UK.
