Searching for IP Cams for House

Hi, 'm searching for maybe 3 IP Cameras for me and my family's house.

An approximate floor plan of the property and the position where I think the cameras could best be positioned. The cameras would need to be installed at a height of around 6 m, as that is the only place where I can lay network cables (PoE) to the outside.
The cameras should offer the option of hiding areas outside the property (data protection). I imagine facial recognition would be difficult at that height, but maybe you have a few ideas, most important good night vision and compatibility to synology Surveillance Station.
Brands that I find interesting and have heard/read good things about so far are Hikvision, Annke, and Empiretech.

So, I've read that a larger sensor is better for low light conditions and that a focal length of 4 to 6 mm is perhaps most suitable for my requirements.

Am I right, or have I overlooked something?

6m is entirely too high for general installation, especially facial recognition. You will need to find a way to drop the install height to 2.5-3m, maybe consider using conduit.

For privacy protection you might also considering setting some cams to record towards your house. That way you could get good installation height for capturing faces, but avoid watching things outside of your property.
