Problems connecting 2 IP Cameras to NVR - Hikvision

Hi all,

I’ve been busting my brain trying to put a Hikvision set working, but no matter what I do and I try from reading I just can’t make it work, and I have to ask if someone has been thru this, knows what’s going on and help me.
I bought all from second hand because of the budget, although the NVR and one of the cameras were new, and because I found out that previous system installed was a scam with bad products.
The problem is that 2 of the cameras don’t connect to the NVR once added, they don’t show video, the network connection to these 2 is faulty, and present these errors - Offline (Network Abnormal) / Network is unreachable Please edit parameter.
I’ve tried resetting the cameras, by SADP, firmware and by reset button, without success, checked them both and they weren’t bound, unbind them anyway and bound them again, changed cables, tried with NVR directly to Router or Poe Switch (Unmanaged), using a single Poe Injector between camera and router… without success for 2 of the cameras.

The previous set had a MAZI IDH-32XR POE Camera, if I add it to the NVR works without any problem, no matter how or at what I connect it, for what I’ve seen at SADP it has Hikvision Protocol.

The components:
DS-7632NXI-K2 (Non POE)
Firmware Version V4.82.007 build 240321 (Tried downgrading it from V4.83.013 241227)
Encoding Version V5.0 build 240221
Hardware Version B-R-K20A9_K20A9-00
Web Version V4.0.1 build 240224
Plugin Version 4.0.0.3

DS-2CD5585G0-IZS - Offline (Network Abnormal) / Network is unreachable Please edit parameter
Firmware Version V5.6.12 build 201215
Encoding Version V7.3 build 200709
Web Version V4.0.1 build 200623
Plugin Version 3.0.7.17
Firmware Version Property B-R-H3-0

DS-2CD7126G0-IZS - Offline (Network Abnormal) / Network is unreachable Please edit parameter

Firmware Version V5.6.12 build 200729
Encoding Version V7.3 build 200709
Web Version V4.0.1 build 200623
Plugin Version 3.0.7.17
Firmware Version Property B-R-H3-0

DS-2CD1763G2-LIZSU – Works without any problem
Firmware Version V5.8.4 build 241213
Encoding Version V7.3 build 240426
Web Version V5.1.0_R0101 build 240430
Firmware Version Property B-R-G6-0

Wiring / Conections:
Router -> TP-Link POE Switch Port 8
NVR -> TP-Link POE Switch Port 1
DS-2CD5585G0-IZS -> Tenda POE Injector -> Router
DS-2CD7126G0-IZS -> TP-Link POE Switch Port 3
DS-2CD1763G2-LIZSU -> TP-Link POE Switch Port 5

IP Addresses:
Router: 192.168.1.1
DS-7632NXI-K2: 192.168.1.60
DS-2CD5585G0-IZS: 192.168.1.61
DS-2CD7126G0-IZS: 192.168.1.63
DS-2CD1763G2-LIZSU: 192.168.162 (Works Fine)

Another thing I don’t understand is why does the NVR ads “192.168.2.70” like below to the routing table:
Port Type External Port External IP Address Internal Port Status
HTTP 30782 192.168.2.70 80 Active
RTSP 59760 192.168.2.70 554 Active
Server Port 44491 192.168.2.70 8000 Active
HTTPS 30127 192.168.2.70 443 Active

I’ve tried DHCP and reset, Set IP’s manually for each device before adding after Reset, leave DNS Servers untouched, manually set them 192.168.1.1 or 8.8.8.8, but what I don’t understand is why the 192.168.2.70 keeps showing up. I have nothing at 192.168.2.xxx range.

Also tried with 2 routers, both TP-Link but different models and one has DDWRT firmware on it.

Maybe is it a firmware incompatibility issue between NVR and those 2 cameras?

If more info is needed, please ask and I’ll gladly give it.

Thanks for any help because I haven’t managed to find the solution during last weeks.

Howdy... have you tried leaving the NVR out of the equation by connecting directly to the camera's web GUI using a browser with ? (from the same PC you ran SADP)

Hi,

Thanks for the question because probably I should have said that the cameras work very well when not connected to the NVR.
When connected to the NVR, besides the mentioned connection errors, it's also difficult to access them by the Web GUI, takes too long to show at SADP, if they show at all.

They work very well too using them individually with Hik-Connect App.

Because of this "weirdness" I started to think if it's a firmware incompatibility, and came to see if anyone faced it before and knows how to solve it.

Thanks.

Hmmm... I don't think it's a firmware problem... it seems like it's a networking problem... almost sounds like an IP address conflict?

That issue you are having re "I don’t understand is why the 192.168.2.70 keeps showing up. I have nothing at 192.168.2.xxx range" is suspicious... but I can't think of anything that might be causing it.

Thought of it, but with 2 different routers, the latest in configured mode and "Factory default" and different IP's produced the same results, without any improvements.

Me neither, I've even made a total reset to all equipments and reconfigured them with the router disconnected from the internet and PC, so from where in the hell does the NVR gets that IP pool range? From what I've seen the only type of NVR's that use a second IP pool are POE NVR's, and this isn't.

The reason why I'm suspicious about firmware incompatibility is because the third camera worked right away, without any intervention of me, as did the Mazi camera. The two that don't work have in common a firmware almost from the same version. Didn't find any recent firmware to any of these two, starting to think in downgrading them, if possible.

Thanks for the help
