Malibu Fires

The fire went "underground". What that means is a tree stump sat and smouldered.
As an ember with more wind on a different day, week, month, it can re-ignite with the
right conditions to fire-up again.

When I lived in Arizona, there was a big fire that sprung up near Flagstaff. The origin of
the fire was tracked down to a pile of buried wood covered in dirt 9-10 months earlier.

So I have tree stumps, dozens of them. I have watched videos of people burning them. I think I will scratch that idea now...

During the CZU complex back in 2020, we had some stumps burning for over a year. But they were within the containment of the complex, which is something LACFD failed to do. No matter how you slice it, they fucked up.

If you have some stumps bore some holes and fill with Potassium Nitrate. (Look for Pyro Chems)
