Hi all, and thank you love this forum. I am looking for suggestions on some good night vision cameras preferable Dahua brand. Any suggestions?

The front of my house has a little lighting but the back and sides is pretty much pitch black. I would like to see some color in the cameras as I am tired of the black and white night vision lol.

Thanks to all.

What are the goals of the camera - ID or OVERVIEW?

What distance?

Are you ok with running white LEDs on the camera?

All cameras need light, either visible or IR and at a certain distance, IR will be needed unless you have stadium quality light.

Wittaj, Thanks.
Overview, distance around 30-50 feet. I'm not a fan of running white leds, prefer them to be like on motion but not on at all times. Preferable 4K, lol.

Thanks

Odds are good that you won't have the light to run color at night without either the onboard LED's or some very good exterior flood lights.

Color night vision is a marketing term not a technology.

In dark black areas without external lights, you'll have to run onboard LED's

Driveways can be lit up with 100 watt bulbs in the coach lights

So for zero light the 4K-T which only comes in fixed 2.8 or 3.6mm (might be a 6mm?). Onboard white LEDs only

Or the new Varifocal 4MP 54PRO or 3449 Tioc Pro. They both have onboard white and/or IR

I’d probably use those all around if you must have color
