Maybe try a zip? I know I uploaded some files once, but can't remember if I had to zip them or not.

    Review-EmpireTech IPC-B52IR-X3 1/2.8" CMOS 3 × 2 MP bullet cam

52X3IR I would like the ability to ID better, but as bigred said below, it is likely just the limitation of them being 2MP. With the quality of the images, I grade them as a high Recognize with a touch of ID. For reference, this is the B54IR-Z4E 4MP bullet at 65', with very, very little...

    Review-EmpireTech IPC-B52IR-X3 1/2.8" CMOS 3 × 2 MP bullet cam

I have two of these on the front of my house, and even with the massive amount of IR that is present, I struggle to get good night captures. Daytime is much better. It is just over 100' to the sidewalk on the other side of the road.

How in the hell does one talk to Dahua??

I want the specific grommet/bushing they use on the top of their PFA130 junction boxes. I will accept nothing else.

How in the hell does one talk to Dahua??

I get it, but if that is the case then why do they have contact options available? If they wanted only contact from installers, dealers, etc then put it behind an account wall.

How in the hell does one talk to Dahua??

I have sent several emails and messages through Dahua's website, but have gotten fuck all for response. Does anyone know of a way to get any sort of response from them? Ultimately, I know it's futile, but I am looking to see how to procure additional grommets for their junction boxes.

"I want 2.8mm cameras everywhere to see everything..." - This is why you need specific FOVs with purposeful focal lengths.

You're welcome. Posts like this would have helped me in the beginning, so I thought I would share.

    3D printed hardware thread

This is a dual 4K-T mount I am working on. It would mount to the top of a PFA box. It's about 338g of filament, so about $3.40.

SUNLU PETG can be had at $10 for a 1kg spool. So maybe $1, no more than $2. More walls and a denser infill will need more filament.

I've been using PETG for all of my outside stuff, as well. I tried ASA, but failed miserably and gave up.

    PTZ5A4M-25X Tracking issues - Dahua SD5A425GA-HNR

I am still having issues, I've just been in a funk and haven't had the capacity to mess with it lately. I'm sure Andy would likely work with me, but I've just accepted I own it at this point and wouldn't be able to return it.

    3D printed hardware thread

I was going to make a post with some of the things I have done or designed for my camera installs. I'll add some pictures here when I get the chance.

Yes, and there are even more connections now.

Long outdoors network cable run – Part 2 ... Fiber Optic run working

I can only guess it was an attempt to further weatherproof the ports. A better option would be to use plugs, like these: https://a.co/d/7s7M0bL

Long outdoors network cable run – Part 2 ... Fiber Optic run working

Just now getting a good look at this picture. What is the deal with all of the plugged in ethernet cables that have been cut?

    Camera placement under deck

Your best bet may then be to do as Spaceman suggested and terminate into a junction box, then run conduit to install locations from there. If you only have one shot at this, I would run 3 or 4 cables, ideally in conduit through the post/column.

    Camera placement under deck

What are the dimensions of the column? My initial thought is straight through, with the camera mounted on the face parallel to the brick.

Bullet Mounting Options - Camera Bumping into Roof Fascia

Do you have access to a 3D printer? I could send you a file for a spacer I designed that is for this exact purpose. I have had to use it in a couple places. This is it in use on vertical fascia, but it is just as usable when mounted to a soffit.

What to do if BI Crashes ? Is there an auto-reboot option?

I have had 2 cases recently where BI locks up and stops working. It's usually over the weekend when I am not sitting at my desk working, and watching UI3. Continuous recording still works and I can scrub through those if I needed to, but I will lose days of alerts (both motion and ONVIF). To fix...

Searching for IP Cams for House

6m is entirely too high for general installation, especially facial recognition. You will need to find a way to drop the install height to 2.5-3m, maybe consider using conduit.

Where to buy rubber grommet/bushing from PFA junction boxes?

I have tried that, but am never satisfied with it. The other ones just work much better.

Where to buy rubber grommet/bushing from PFA junction boxes?

I like the rubber grommet/bushings that are included with the PFA junction boxes, but have no idea where I can buy them separately. Does anyone have a lead or source for them? I have some mounts I am considering building/printing that would benefit from using these to seal the hole.

Improve night motion image - HFW5842E-Z4E

This are two of my 5442-Z4E cams. (4MP and not 4K) This area is basically pitch black, and the path is about 65' away. I still need to tinker with the focus, but given what I am seeing at a further distance, yours is not bad. Both guys were running, and Path South had some lingering fog.

    I like Halloween, but...

The other night my neighbor had their trash can in the perfect spot under a limb with a few leaves. Well, my spotter cam kept triggering and calling my PTZ to that preset. What's weird is it wasn't the entire thing, but just the group of leaves. Without the trash can, it doesn't trigger on...
