Good morning everyone,

I had a camera working for about 2 years (my only camera) and I added another camera 2 days ago. My new camera works fine and shows an image but my old camera now comes up with a password. I have entered the password to the NVR, I get in and it's blank. It was working for about 10 hours and now I just see this screen. I have tried rebooting, unplugging etc.

Any ideas?

Need more information:
a) Vendor / Model / Firmware release for NVR
b) Vendor / Model / Firmware release for cameras
I can definitely get you that information. But seems weird that it worked for 2 years on Port 1 on the NVR and I move it to Port 2 on the NVR and it doesn't work now and asks for a password.

The NVR is: NVR5208-8P-EI
System Version: V4.005.0000000.3.R

Camera is: EmpireTech - IPC-T5442T-ZEB
I can't remote into the camera to get that information but was working for 2 years straight until I plugged it into port 2.

We have seen instances where NVRs will "assign" a camera to a port and moving cameras to different ports results in cameras not working and the only fix is factory resets.

Why not move the camera back to Port 1?

Reboot NVR first...then see

Yeah, the cameras point in opposite ways so my left camera on the screen points right and the right points left. It looks confusing when you are looking at the windows like your eyes are crosseyed looking down the street so I don't really want to put it back

I wish I would have tried re-arranging them in the camera view. I powered off the NVR and put back the cables to their original spot and the password thing is still coming up just in the other camera view window. So my new camera is working but the camera I had working for 2 years won't come online now at all, in port 2 and back in port 1 where I had it. Just shows that password window :/

Any other ideas?

factory reset that camera.
Or
depending on the NVR manufacturer, you may be able to surf to a device search menu and "add device" and then select edit button and manually re-enter the original pwd your using....( even though you didn't change it-)
I have had to do that when port swapping cams
it maybe a security/theft deterrent thing.

It's funny that there isn't much trouble to initializing a new cam, but all hell breaks loose if you move it.
The least amount of time will be factory reset and re-initialize.

If you plugged both cameras in at the same time, the NVR may be IP conflicting them.

Plug one camera in and wait for it to show up on the monitor and after you see video, then plug the 2nd one in.

But as mentioned, you likely need to factory reset everything and then do the above eith one camera at a time.

I will try this first (right now) and I'll start with the one that's not working and give it 15-20 minutes to see if it comes alive.

Unfortunately, waited 30 minutes and no luck. Is there a procedure somewhere to factory default IPC-T5442T-ZEB camera

To factory reset the camera, open the slot where the SD card goes and there is a tiny reset button by it. With the camera powered, press and hold the reset button for 20 seconds.

There is. I have many of these cameras. In that picture, unscrew those two Phillip screws on that little square on the ball part shown in your picture.
