so worse case i can run the camera's through the swann NVR (i can pull the feed from the swann NVR) but im worried if the NVR crashes ill have like 6 camera's that are useless
i plugged in the camera and with angry IP i was able to locate the camera IP address, however it does not show up on CONFIGtool
i tried putting the IP into my broswer but i get this

then when i try to downlaod the plugin, it says to delete my old one, and installs new, but nothing changes
i was wondering if anyone has either any ideas on how to get this to work or has made it work
would be awesome if i could link the camera's directly from switch and get BI to find them

Config Tool is designed for Dahua and OEM stuff, so it may or may not work for other stuff.

Make sure you are using Internet Explorer as plugins only work for that browser.

Swann tends to use proprietary stuff, so you may only be able to access the cameras thru the Swann NVR.

Have you tried adding a camera to BI with the IP address of one of the cameras?

Yeah i know swann is shit, i bought bunch of camera's from andy , but years ago i didnt know this place existed
just trying to make use of what i have, i have 8 working functioning camera's, why spend well over $1k for something that still works,

Yes, please post the pop-up window when you hit inspect and lets see if we see anything that could give us a clue as to why an image isn't being shown.

GOT IT!
want to confirm
SWANN NHD-885 DO WORK IN BI!
When you plug in the camera in the NVR you can use the same login details as you use to log in to your NVR, however im not sure how you would do this if you do not have an swann NVR previously, RTSP will be 554 and ONVIF 80 for these cameras, if you just put the IP address, username / password same as NVR was - it will auto populate if you find/inspect

What did you need to do to get it to work ?

get the login for camera (whatever you use to login to the NVR that controls the camera's)

plug camera into NVR
use angry IP to see which new IP address popped up
located IP and copy into BI "add a camera"
use same login as your NVR for pass/user name
once you hit Find/inspect BI should do the rest !
