Hi I have a Hikvision dome camera DS-2CD2155FWD-I-6MP camera and a Dahua DHI-NVR4104HS-P-4KS2 (lite) NVR I also have a couple of Reolink cheap cameras.
My problem is I cannot connect the Hikvision camera to the NVR but the cheap Reolink ones connect fine. The Hikvision comes up in the search but when I try and connect it, it shows a red cross whereas the Reolink is green tick.
I have searched the internet for solutions but they all fail additionally there is no manual that I can find for the NVR, one that covers other models but not mine.
Depending on the firmware version of the camera - you may have to Enable ONVIF and create an ONVIF User.
Look in the camera web GUI under Network | Advanced Settings | Integration Protocol
Thanks for the reply, the forum was down and between when I made my post and now I found the answer but I couldn't come back and it was as you said, I thought the connection was via the camera log in but not so I also had to add a ONVIF user.
Now I have to chase up a manual if one is available.
