So the facial image is taken from the larger still image captured.
Face in image capture looks to be less than 1% of the overall image
Looking at the height angle and distance form camera, probably not too shabby.

Hi @looney2ns what web browser do you use with this cam?
I can view everything on NVR in IE11 (including Face library, which seems to be missing on chrome), but I get no live feed from camera. I can access settings on camera, but it makes it quite difficult with some of the settings when you can't see what your doing!
I've also tried chrome & Firefox.
 
Sorry, should have made it more clear, IE11 web browser works fine with NVR including live feed, for me.

But accessing the cam via web browser is where i have problems with live feed.

Chrome with IE Tab extension installed.
You should be able to also use The Pale Moon Project homepage you want the 32bit version.

These are all taken in the camera direct to the SD card. The camera does not play well with the AI NVR & ANPR. You can't reliably setup ANPR in the AI NVR for the camera. Even when you set it up in the camera, a lot of the information does not get transferred to the NVR. There are a couple of features regarding ANPR that exist in the camera, but do not exist in the NVR. I'm sure this can be solved with a firmware update.
You get two pictures, one of the overall scene with the car in it, then a zoomed pic of the same car.

May I ask how does the facial ID recognition work? Is it only configurable live or during playbacks?
 
I have the 5216-16P-I ,
I have the face recognition working on another cam, and it is live, sends me a push message with picture.

Got the face detection working with 7842, but not had chance to get recognition working yet.
