    Did you already copy your authtoken and ngrok address from the ngrok webpage into the Blue Iris Settigns > Web server page? Then did you update the WAN address on the BI mobile app to point to the ngrok address? Same with your UI3 URL when outside your LAN.

    Did you follow the NGROK instructions on pages 207-208 of the Blue Iris help file? It lists the steps to set it up correctly.

    Are surveillance microphones a thing?

    I use several of these (https://a.co/d/aIo1pqt ) next to my exterior cameras and they sound much better than my camera’s built in microphones. It’s easy to make out conversations with the external microphone, but nearly impossible with the built in ones.

    @Tacoman You could also try the Area of interest (AOl) option in Camera settings > Video tab. From the help file, "The AOI (area of interest) setting may be used with network IP cameras to select a sub-set of the camera’s video frame as the video source."

    If your camera has the option, rotate the image 90° in-camera rather than in BI. Then check if the mobile app still crashes. Also email BI support about this issue if you haven't already. :)

    Yes, that's the hardware combination I'm currently using. I'm on BI 5.7.9.6 but don't recall any issues with past versions.
