I'm still toying with the idea of testing a T58PRO for the main camera in the front of the house where there's plenty of light at night. T54PRO is nice and bright in color. Two 75 watt bulbs on stoop and streetlight not far.
I know we have all the issues described here, got it.
My main use case is having the entire front of the house and full street up on the 4K TV. While I take a quick peak at the IVS trip snapshots daily, it's mostly just to see deliveries, there's never actually been a perp for 8+ years, thankfully!
I have the Apple TV 4K Streamie app up on my office 4K TV sometimes all day. The T54PRO looks great, but I'm just soooo curious what the T58PRO would look like.
There's been hundreds of posts about the T54, anyone test a T58? I'm assuming the day time might be fine and nighttime will be much worse I know, but before I hit the order button ($250 USD) would love to hear if anyone has actually installed a T58PRO varifocal turret. Anyone?
And again ... I know the results of the T54PRO testing ... I see every post! and it must be varifocal ...
I also have the 2nd T54PRO in the front so that's a backup, from a different angle not as focused exactly on the front stoop and not as much light.
All five T54PRO's have been perfect, not one single missed IVS trip, and ZERO false alarms, no shadows, no squirrels, no birds, no cats ... perfect!
And again I'm almost never looking at snapshot video, with the 4K TV being the usual use case just to keep track of the neighborhood.
