Tried Frigate. Not switching, but makes me want to improve my BI setup

Update: I have played with Frigate for a while. Detection is very good, maybe not as great as I originally thought. I'm really hoping there's some great improvements with BI 6, because - maybe I'm crazy, but I really don't like Frigate. I see people say they left BI for Frigate and love the UI...

CP.AI Face Recognition - Unknown Faces

Same here. Lots of posts in various forums. I'm hoping that CPAI gets some more attention soon, or BI 6 implements something better. I know... it's free, and it works well for many people, so not trying to complain just hoping for better down the road.

Tried Frigate. Not switching, but makes me want to improve my BI setup

So after reading some comments here and there about how good Frigate is, I thought I'd try it. Can't say I like it much, but holy crapola! Out of the box, the object and facial recognition were awesome. On a Gen 7 i5 box. Really hate the UI and the configuration via YAML. Wow, I'd hate to be a...

Ezviz DB1C no audio in Blue Iris

I just retired my DB1C. When it worked, the audio was fine in BI. Are you checking in the BI console, or the web interface? Do you have any other cameras with audio?

    EZViz DB1C weird connectivity issue

Update. It has been stable on BI for a while now, but now the app says it’s offline. I‘m visiting family in CA this week and my Amcrest is here waiting for me. Gonna be a pleasure to replace when we get back.

    EZViz DB1C weird connectivity issue

So it auto-updated again and dropped off of BI. I re-enabled ONVIF and it came back for a while then dropped again. I set up a SSID to be 2.4G only and it's been solid since. Fingers crossed.

    EZViz DB1C weird connectivity issue

Still unstable after using EZVIZ studio to re-enable the ports. Sometimes it's up in BI, and EZVIZ can't see it. Weird. Downgraded to 220409 and also forced it to connect to a different AP. I had recently replaced a Unifi Nano-HD with a 6 Lite, so forced the DB1C onto an older AC-Lite. Will see...

    Blue Iris UI3

Are the shrinking scrollbars (not just UI3, other web apps/sites as well) by design, or due to some other factor? Asking for a 62-year-old friend who uses a laptop with a trackpad and has trouble scrolling through clips for a specific camera without accidentally activating all cameras.

Is there a way to disable automatic upgrades? I have not found it.

Well, I have a new Amcrest waiting for me in California when I go there in a couple of weeks.

    EZViz DB1C weird connectivity issue

Thanks all. I managed to figure out EZViz studio, and enabling the advanced features. This has re-enabled the ports, and BI is working again, though I wouldn't call it stable. I'd like to flash a previous version, but I can't seem to find where to disable auto-updates.

    EZViz DB1C weird connectivity issue

OK. I'm not new to IP cameras, Blue Iris, or networking. But this is starting to tick me off. I have an EZViz DB1C, which has been working well since Sept 2021. But it drops off the network now and then. Sort of.... Blue Iris loses it. Can't ping it. But the app still works. W T A F? A power...

    Lost admin privileges

Hi all. Sorry if this has been discussed, I did search. I'm on 5.5.1.20 and for some reason, my admin privileges have disappeared. I can't right-click and get into camera settings or disable, those are greyed out, as well as some other settings. I checked my account in the registry, admin is set...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Well, I may have been too hasty singing its praises. 3 times in the last few days it has dropped off of Blue Iris. My network monitor didn't alert, as it still responds to pings, but a port scan shows no open ports, whereas a port scan when it's connected to Blue Iris shows RTSP port open...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Great thread! Thanks to all who participated. I'm late to the party, but just replaced my Nelly's DB1 with the EZViz DB1C. So far, great! I also upgraded my doorbell transformer with a Home Depot (yeah I paid too much) 16V 30VA unit. Managed to not kill myself replacing it (it's mounted right...

    Review: EZVIZ DB1C

Thank you! I was going nuts trying to configure a userID/password in the dumbed-down camera settings. Coming from a Nelly's DB1 which had pretty dumbed-down settings as well. So far so good. Looks better than the Nelly's, and the EZVis app so far seems faster than the crappy Guarding Vision...

Wow, I had no idea how many dogs were around :)

    Addicted.

Your story sounds like mine. I started with some really cheap cameras and Zoneminder to keep tabs on the dogs. Now I have a ton of cameras and barely care about the dogs or people, it's all about the deer/skunks/porcupines/raccoons :)

Not bad for $60. Weird FOV for a doorbell cam though.
