Just to clarify, i powered them off and back on to reboot them, so i can access the NVR via web browser with them both on. I also put another spare camera into slot 5 on the NVR and put the password in and then still get the network unreachable error on that too. So somehow, me hot swapping... -

Yeah I did try but it wouldn’t allow me to select it. After V4 I did most via the web GUI and all worked well, that after the one before I ended up with the web GUI changed and the upgrade section was greyed out. So did the V4.6 plugged direct to NVR, but it wouldn’t accept any more updates... -

One issue I’ve just noticed, Hik-connect app is showing offline. I’ve checked and find the platform access setting is still enabled. The status on that screen says it’s offline also. I rebooted my router/modem, still offline. EDIT: Sorted! -

Live View Password
I just left my olds, i did find this on the web GUI and it does show it has a password, looks like 6 digits. I've tried everything 6 digits i can think of. The model is DS-7604NI/4P, firmware V4.60.005_231219, which comes up as the latest for AU. -

I can't find that exact page but there is one and as it's plug and play, the password section is blank. That's what i thought and tried that a couple times, no go. I might reboot their system and try again. -

The model is DS-7608NI-I2/8P, i don't know what region though. I got it and the camera's from eBay in 2017 and i believe they are import and not AU stock. The camera firmware i updated to was from the Hikvision Canada site and it's working fine. The current NVR firmware is V3.4.95 build 170626. -

Just a little update, i updated all the camera's to the latest firmware, since doing so i can now view live view in Edge and don't have to switch over to IE. I also now have the plug-in update icon as well. I cannot find any software that will update the NVR though! -

OK so i had to reset the password, pretty easy via "forgot password". Got live view working in the NVR GUI. Next issue was me needing to get into the camera GUI, worked out i had to turn virtual host in the NVR GUI. That then gives the address for the camera, which brings me to my next... -

OK guy's i got it working!! It still won't work on Edge or if i got to IE doing the notepad thing but if i click the IE thing on Edge to switch to IE, it asked to install the plug-in, and then it works! Thanks everyone for the advice, got there in the end! Now to sort my parents one.. -

I did reply saying that i couldn't find it. If anyone can post a screen shot of where it is on their NVR menu that would be good. I'm wondering if it's because it's all very old software. I could update it but if i get the software wrong, i could brick it. -
