    you can simply download the uk firmware and flash it. as long as it not the chinese version. i do that all the time.

    This is the US version. i can update from stock to 5.5.91. but when i update the the latest 5.6.1. it failed at 36%. and i open the camera. try to update it with a tls cable...but the this one has a bigger connector. i called hikvsion, they remote my pc for 2 hrs and still can't get it right.
