Mounting a WD HDD in Hikvision7806NI-E2/P Screws too long -anyone else had this?
Hi you guys are all correct. I found out today on the latest larger drives they've minimised the screw depth, but hikvision is sending out the old screw size ~ 6mm shank. grrrrr The screws are 6-32 x 1/8 which are required (~3mm shank) . Hi Guys. I received my 7808NI-E2/P and have been playing around with it for a few nights. I ordered the 6TB HDD and thought it would be a simple 10min job. The screws Hikvision supply seem to be too long for the case + screw socket on the HDD. I cant tighten it to stay in the case slots...- tradertim

Using 2 HDD in NVR

Are the Hik domes really waterproof?
Water droplets are a pain they reflect the ir and make your dome dirty. Mines under an eave but gets hit with wind from the ocean. Need to clean it after every storm as water/dirt reflects the Ir and you cant see swat. -

Mixing Chinese and North American NVR and Cameras??
I think the safest thing for you to do is continue with the Chinese cameras loaded with English and serials "CCH". There's no issues getting branded cameras from aliexpress. You can still get what you want 3mp / 4mp. Have a search for some of alastairs responses he has I think I recalled a... -

I use motion detection to put red lines on the recording but only line crossing to send emails and I almost never get any false emails. Use line crossing or intrusion detection for reduced falses. I do get the sun/cloud/sun motion detection false but that's normal according to the generally... -

Best monitoring app for (hikvision) ip cameras
yeah I use tinycampro as well - android works great. Used to use IPCAMViewer but same as Klasipca UI was lame and never changed. The only pain in the ass is turning off some of the options like Audio Alarm, when I arrive on site. Don't know if IVMS4500 allows that as haven't spent the time... -

Hikvision 2032F On Camera SD Card Recording Setup Info?
I've got 2132 3MP domes and cube 2432 both with 5.2.5 and they work with 64Gb SD cards class 10 for HD video. They are both Chinese cameras with serial "CCH" . After formatting it etc., you have to click "trigger channel" for it to record to the SD Card from the various detection modes. Yip... -

DO NOT USE "Benovision" ALA "Security Camera China". After prior confirming they would ship in 10 days.... 21 days later product still hadn't shipped. I asked them to cancel the order. Aliexpress refunded quite soon after that. Amy had all the excuses why I should be patient. -
